Whenever I get to travel, I always like to search for the best of in whatever city I’m in. Best breakfast in Charlotte, Best Cigar Lounge in Tampa, Best Bar in New York. On my trip to Boston, I was – for whatever reason – curious to find the best doughnuts in Boston. Now I’m no food critic and I don’t have a production crew traveling with me to shoot footage at each spot in the area. I’m doing a quick search, reading some reviews, and picking one place to go to. Either I love it or I don’t. This time, I picked Blackbird Doughnuts.
I. Love. Blackbird.
Blackbird Doughnuts is an artisanal bakery that combines interesting flavors with classic favorites, while using natural and locally sourced ingredients. Cool points, check. Everything is baked on-site, and they’re not one of those doughnut bakeries that constantly adds more and more ingredients just to make insane combinations. Taste and quality of ingredients is paramount.
I walked out of Blackbird with a box of Apple Cider Glaze, Boston Creme, Vanilla Glaze, The Blackbird (signature flavor)…and a coffee…and a BIG smile.
